Aaron Rodgers is at the end of his contract with Green Bay Packers, and if he doesn’t get a new long-term deal by this summer, it’s likely that there will be an open competition for who should take over as quarterback. One man who would compete to replace him? Brett Favre himself…
Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL. But what will happen to him after 2021? A former Packers executive gives his shocking prediction about Aaron Rodgers’ uncertain future in Green Bay beyond 2021. Read more in detail here: aaron rodgers trade.
In the summer leading up to the 2021 NFL season, the rivalry between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers dominated headlines. Their connection will also be the subject of discussion till the conclusion of the 2021 season.
Rodgers is back in the fold, and the Packers are having a fantastic season. That does not, however, imply that the story is done. Former Green Bay Packers executive makes a big prediction for the great quarterback’s future.

Following a win against the formerly undefeated Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, the Green Bay Packers now have a 7-1 record.
Early-season worries arose when the Packers were humiliated 38-3 by the New Orleans Saints in the season opener. Aaron Rodgers and company, on the other hand, have turned things around and are now one of the hottest teams in sports.
Although the offensive hasn’t been very strong, Rodgers has performed well. With a 67.1 percent completion rate, the Chico, California native has passed for 1,894 yards, 17 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Rodgers mentioned in his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that he is looking forward to playing for the Packers in 2021. The former MVP told Pat McAfee, “Obviously, winning heals a lot of it.” “I am a huge fan of the coaching staff. I’m still in Green Bay, and I’m having a blast.”
It’s impossible to picture him playing anywhere in 2022, especially with Green Bay looking like one of the better teams in the NFC right now. Other considerations, though, will influence the front office’s choice of their star signal caller.
According to a former Packers executive, the club will be able to move on from its great quarterback.
From 1999 through 2008, Andrew Brandt served as the Green Bay Packers’ Vice President of Operations. He was instrumental in the team’s selection of Aaron Rodgers with the 24th overall choice in the 2005 NFL Draft.
Brandt has spent years negotiating player contracts while while controlling the pay cap. He is presently a writer for Sports Illustrated’s MMQB.
Rodgers’ uncertain future in Green Bay was discussed by Brandt on The Rich Eisen Show. He said, “I want to lead with my mind, not my emotions.” “I’m still a huge fan and I’m still prejudiced,” she says.
The former Packers executive is wary of allowing his affection for the team to cloud his judgment. He wants Rodgers to retire as a Green Bay Packers player, but he doubts it will happen.
“I have a hunch [the Packers’ front staff] wants to relocate to Love in 2022,” Brandt stated. He believed Rodgers’ camp wanted the Packers to trade the quarterback after seeing the offseason activities. For how he first handled the club picking Jordan Love in 2020, he labeled the nine-time Pro Bowler a “good soldier.”
“Before moving on to Love, the Packers expected another MVP performance,” Brandt said. “I’ve always assumed that Aaron and the Packers will part ways in 2022.” “I still believe it.”
Rodgers seems to be involved in the team’s current success, according to the former vice president, but the talks between the quarterback and the front office aren’t finished. “I believe this would need a shift of mindset on both sides,” he remarked.
The Packers, according to Brandt, want to recoup their Jordan Love investment. Brandt said, “I don’t believe they want to wait three years for Jordan Love.”
It would be silly for the Packers to pursue Jordan Love at this time.
The Green Bay Packers’ front staff is facing a major challenge. When president Mark Murphy and general manager Brian Gutekunst selected Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, they put a lot of money into him.
The Packers’ front management has found themselves in an awkward predicament. Aaron Rodgers is 37 years old, which could worry some guys who aren’t Tom Brady. Rodgers is a product of the same mold. He’s one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, and he hasn’t slowed down.
According to Andrew Brandt, the Packers don’t want to keep waiting for Love to return. While it is understandable, moving on from a player who can help you compete year after year is not.
Love may have all of the ability in the world and yet be a flop. Rodgers is about as certain as it gets in football. His on-field leadership and ability have helped Green Bay teams with less talent achieve success.
Trade Aaron Rodgers if the Packers’ front staff wants to endure another Brett Favre issue. That, however, is unlikely to end well.
In his 17th season, the three-time NFL MVP is still an excellent quarterback. He doesn’t seem to be slowing down. It’s possible that Murphy and Gutekunst may swallow their pride and say they were wrong by trading Jordan Love, but it’s tough to envision them doing so.
If the Packers’ front management gets this wrong, Green Bay may never forgive them.
