Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor Rightfully Puts the AFC on Notice After Statement Win Against the Baltimore Ravens

The Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor righteously put the AFC on notice after statement win against the Baltimore Ravens. They were able to score a touchdown in seven seconds and take down their opponent who has been struggling this season to close out games.

The Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor has put the AFC on notice after a statement win against the Baltimore Ravens. With playmakers like Tyrod Taylor and John Ross, expect more of these type of games in years to come. The “joe burrow twitter” is a tweet from Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback. This tweet shows that he has been given more control of the offense.

The Cincinnati Bengals are the talk of the NFL town square after a thunderous 41-17 victory against the Baltimore Ravens, and they’ve fired a shot across the bow at the “powers that be” at the top of the AFC.

Do you have any doubts? Take a look at everything the Bengals accomplished against their AFC North foe.

On a stout Ravens defense, the Bengals racked over 520 yards of offense. Joe Burrow, the quarterback, had a game-changing effort, passing for 416 yards and three touchdowns. What the Bengals’ defense accomplished against Lamar Jackson is maybe even more astounding. Cincinnati limited the MVP quarterback to just 257 passing yards and one score, as well as 88 rushing yards.

The Bengals made a statement with their performance.

Still not convinced? Listen to what Zac Taylor, the head coach, had to say after the game. He recognizes that things have finally changed in Cincinnati.

Throughout the years, the Bengals have had more lowlights than positives. Their head coach, on the other hand, believes they’ve finally turned the corner. The Bengals have been sarcastically dubbed the “Bungals” for their failure to win games over the years, but the shoe is now on the other foot in Cincinnati, as they currently lead the AFC North after defeating a very good Baltimore club.

According to NFL.com, Taylor noted after the victory, “It’s a new squad.” “We’re free to create and improve, but we’re operating under a different mindset right now.” We’ve done a lot of different things to get here, and I’ve made a lot of harsh speeches over the years about wonderful things to come if we just keep working. And you hope and pray that the rest of the team shares your convictions. That is the basis of what we are constructing, and this is the end product. This is their chance to shine. We’ve earned everything we’ve spoken about.”

It’s difficult to disagree with Taylor’s high assessment of his teammates. With a 5-2 record, the Bengals are not just the best club in their division, but also among the best in the conference.

The Bengals have the best record in the conference. They have the same record as the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and Baltimore Ravens, however they are the only club in the group without a defeat to an AFC opponent.

This Bengals squad is unlike any we’ve seen before, and it has a lot to do with the talent the front office has put together. Taylor deserves credit as well. With a 6-25 record in his first two seasons as an NFL coach, he had a rocky start. He’s finally beginning to put everything together. It certainly helps that he has an outstanding quarterback in charge.

This drive exemplifies how far this offense has progressed. The Ravens strike first and take the lead, but the Bengals answer well.

Cincinnati fans haven’t had much to cheer about in recent NFL history, with the exception of a few exhilarating years with Carson Palmer as quarterback. Burrow’s selection as the No. 1 overall pick in 2020 was probably the organization’s greatest news in years, but his rookie season was cut short by a knee injury.

The Bengals have definitely clicked into a new level now that Burrow is back and healthy. He’s quickly establishing himself as one of the league’s best quarterbacks, presently ranking sixth in passing yards (1,956) and fifth in touchdowns (17).

Burrow’s rise to the top of the NFL quarterback mountain has earned Cincinnati a berth among the league’s best offenses. Ja’Marr Chase, his favorite wide receiver, is a real candidate for rookie of the year, and he’s regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the game. This season, Burrow and Chase have thrown 35 times for 754 yards and six touchdowns.

Against the Ravens, the rookie wide receiver racked up 201 yards and a score. C.J. Uzomah, a veteran tight end, had a stellar day with 91 yards and two touchdown grabs.

The Bengals’ attack is not only powerful in the air, but it is also quite successful on the ground. After Derrick Henry and Jonathan Taylor, Joe Mixon is the NFL’s third-leading rusher. In Samaje Perine, he has an above-average backup.

On offense, the Bengals can damage you in a variety of ways. The Ravens discovered this the hard way.

The Bengals seem to be on the verge of making a run.

The Bengals’ next opponent is the lowly New York Jets, so unless they have a letdown following their huge victory over the Ravens, they should be on track for a three-game winning run when they host the Cleveland Browns in early November. It won’t be easy to beat the Kevin Stefanski-led Brownies in that rivalry game, but the Bengals should be favorites and will be playing at home.

The Bengals’ next major test will be against the Raiders on the road on November 21st. While this is shaping up to be a tough game for this club, the Bengals will have the advantage of having defeated the Ravens on the road. Every ounce of extra confidence helps, especially for a young squad.

Taylor told ESPN, “We’re beginning to win respect, but we still have a long way to go.” “If you want to compete in this league, all you have to do is win one away game against a divisional opponent.”

The Bengals are competing just fine, and they are simply the words of a coach attempting to keep his squad modest after defeating a powerhouse. The Bengals aren’t just competing; they’re flourishing, and they’re now the best team in the AFC.

ESPN and Pro Football Reference provided the statistics.

Since being AFC North rivals, how many times have the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals defeated each other?
