Shannon Sharpe Channels Denny Green, Sings R.E.M, and Wears His Old Broncos Helmet During Epic Cowboys Troll Job: ‘Ya’ll Still Dem ‘Boys?’

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recently told the Los Angeles Times that he’ll be rooting for Dallas in 2019. Shannon Sharpe, former Broncos tight end and current NFL Network analyst poured gas on the fire by tweeting an article about Jerry’s comments with a picture of Denny Green’s face next to his own head photoshopped onto Jones’ body wearing his old ‘Boys’ helmet.

Shannon Sharpe, a former All-Pro tight end for the Denver Broncos, was ecstatic when his Broncos defeated his co-host Skip Bayless’ Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The Hall of Famer-turned-pundit was so happy that he couldn’t wait to brag about it on Monday morning when his program premiered. As a result, the outgoing pass-catcher turned to Twitter to share an outstanding video that struck all of the trash-talk high notes.

The Dallas Cowboys entered their Week 9 meeting against the Denver Broncos with a 6-1 record and a lot of confidence. After a tight defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on opening night, the ‘Boys have won six straight games, including a Week 8 triumph against the Minnesota Vikings with backup quarterback Cooper Rush.

The Cowboys were a 10-point favorite to welcome the Broncos to Texas. The club was expected to stroll to another victory now that Dak Prescott was back and healthy.

Teddy Bridgewater’s Broncos, on the other hand, had other intentions.

The game wasn’t merely a win for the Broncos. It had been a complete mugging. Tony Pollard, a Cowboys running back and kick returner, returned the opening kick 54 yards to put the game in Broncos territory. The Cowboys didn’t have another notable moment until 4:08 remained in the game, when they scored their first points.

The Broncos led 16-0 at halftime before increasing their lead to 30-0 before the Cowboys could score. Teddy Bridgewater completed 19 of 28 passes for 249 yards and a score, while running backs Javonte Williams (111 yards) and Melvin Gordon (80 yards) combined for 191 yards rushing.

The Broncos defense sacked Prescott twice, picked him off once, and recovered a fumble in their first game since the Von Miller deal.

Prescott orchestrated two late touchdown drives in the last four minutes of the game to bring the score to 30-16, but the damage had already been done.

“Frankly, we were outcoached, outplayed all the way through,” Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters after the game, according to ESPN. This is the first time I’ve felt our energy level wasn’t higher than our opponent’s. That’s inconvenient.”

Shannon Sharpe, a former Bronco, shared an amazing troll video on Twitter on Sunday night.

Former Denver Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe co-hosts FS1’s Skip and Shannon: Undisputed with notable Dallas Cowboys fan Skip Bayless.

It’s no surprise that this was a major subject on the program in the days preceding up to the game, and Bayless addressed the contest with his customary arrogance about the Cowboys.

Sharpe turned to social media after the shock victory to bash his co-host in an amazing video that combined an astounding amount of greatness.

The video was shot beside a pool at what seems to be Sharpe’s house. The Hall of Fame tight end was dressed in a Broncos sweater and a team helmet. He begins the video by singing R.E.M. ‘Everybody Hurts,’ before breaking into his best Dennis Green impersonation:

Now, as I have said, the Cowboys are exactly who we thought they were. We, these men, aren’t going to let them off the hook. Today is not one of those days. Now, Dak is going to score a few of touchdowns, but you know what they are: empty calories. You know how bad those calories taste. That was a disaster. You’ve got to see me tomorrow, Skip Bayless… I just need one piece of information. Are you still Dem ‘Boys, Cowboys Country, Cowboys Nation? Because if you didn’t make any noise, you wouldn’t be Dem ‘Boys.

After the Broncos defeated the Cowboys, Shannon Sharpe expressed her delight.

It was an awesome video that any fan of Skip Bayless who is sometimes (or constantly) irritated by him had to enjoy.

The Cowboys have a chance to get back on track in Week 10 when they face the Atlanta Falcons.

In the NFC, the #DallasCowboys and #AtlantaFalcons have multiple overlapping stories, had very different Week 9 outcomes, and will play this week at @attstadium.

Take a look at the major stories for Sunday’s game.

November 10, 2021 — Dallas Cowboys (@dallascowboys)

Any NFL club, particularly one with postseason and ultimately Super Bowl hopes, cannot afford to lose on its home ground.

In Jerry’s world, though, everything is still OK. For the time being.

Despite the thrashing in Denver, the Cowboys remain in first place in the dreadful NFC East, four games clear of the 3-6 Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

In Week 10, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys face the 4-4 Atlanta Falcons at home. In Week 9, Matt Ryan and the Falcons pulled off their own upset, defeating the New Orleans Saints 27-25.

While a victory is a win in the NFL, the Falcons didn’t exactly inspire confidence with their performance. The squad surrendered a 24-6 advantage in the fourth quarter and needed a late Younghoe Koo field goal to preserve the victory.

Dallas is a touchdown-plus favorite (+8.5) once again and should have no trouble handling Atlanta.

If not, Cowboys supporters (looking at you, Skip Bayless) should be concerned, and Shannon Sharpe should create more videos, hopefully.

Pro Football Reference provided all stats.

Shannon Sharpe claims one of her teammates was a “Baptist Minister” and a “Military General” rolled into one.
